Founded in 2014 by four guys (Steve Haumschild, Brandon Cody, Dano Frerich & Al Darling) Lanikai’s mission is to produce the best beers with the ingredients of the Pacific.

Beer #1: Pillbox Porter

Style: Porter
ABV: 6.5%
IBU: 45
Flavor Text: “This brew uses a special blend of Hawaiian and Tahitian vanilla, offset by notes of chocolate, caramel & roasted barley malt. A thinner body compliments the island climate and we add just enough hops to cut through the vanilla.”

Beer #2: Rubbah Slippah

Style: Sour
ABV: 6.2%
IBU: 20
Flavor Text: “Double dry hopped yuzu sour. Bright, acidic, dank hop aroma.”

Ratings:

  • Mark: Growler
  • Kevin: Bomber

Beer #3: Moku Imperial IPA

Style: IIPA
ABV: 8.1%
IBU: 75
Our Thoughts: “Pikake botanicals bring a floral aroma and slight bitterness to our signature IPA, complimented by select hops with notes of citrus, pineapple, and mango. A solid malt backbone adds a final touch of sweetness.“
