1940’s Brewing Company was founded in 2014, when homebrewer Charlie Becker decided to make the jump to professional. Brewing is a part of the Becker legacy, as Charlie’s father and great grandfather both worked in the industry. His father worked for Rheingold for 41 years and graduated in–you guessed it–1940.

He began perfecting his recipes in an alternating proprietorship brewery and brought on fellow brewer Jon Brengel. For almost a year and a half they brewed on a 3 barrel system, dialing in recipes such as Hefe Injustice Hefeweizen and Arsenal IPA.
