Opened July 2013 by brothers David and Steven Wirth with brewer Duffy Griffiths. The name is inspired by their varied background. David owns a contracting business, Steven owns the neighboring restaurant Digger Odell’s and Duffy own’s two deli’s named “Duffy’s”.

Their current head brewer is Stevie Czelatka who, fittingly, is a volunteer firefighter in Riverhead. He climbed the “corporate ladder” by first delivering, then selling, and now brewing Crooked Ladder beer.
